Abstract

|
The purpose of this study was to analyze on the structural equation modeling among relevant variables of dating relationship for the high school students. Subjects were 347 high school students in Seoul and Gyeonggido. Dating Relationship Scale, Communication of Sexual Matters with Parents Scale, Sex Attitude Scale, Sexual Self decision Scale, and Gender-role Socialization were used to measure. findings of the study were as follows: First, dating relationship was affected by sex attitude and sexual self decision. Second, gender-role socialization was affected by communication of sexual matters with parents, sex attitude and sexual self decision. Third, communication of sexual matters with parents indirectly influenced gender-role socialization by sex attitude and sexual self decision indirectly influenced dating relationship by gender-role socialization. Forth, sexual attitude was influenced by communication of sexual matters. Communication of sexual matter and sexual attitude were not directly influenced. The implications and limitations of the study were discussed along with some suggestions for the future research and counseling practice.
